once again...

stepped down on to hawaii soil coming from las vegas, once again. this trip was a relaxing one in the desert compared to our previous endeavors into sin city. had a great time spending time with family, especially those that i haven't seen in years. but leaving vegas this time was a bit different.

it might have been the time i've been spending time with family or maybe its just where i stand in life right now, but coming home to hawaii was something i wasn't looking forward to. the family that i see most of the time in hawaii are still on the westcoast. the thought of leaving them in one state to go to another could have equipped me with emotions of not wanting to go back to hawaii.

or maybe i just didn't want to come back to what i left in hawaii. now, i don't want it to sound like every single thing i left here when i went to las vegas was a negative factor in my life. i mean, friends, scenery, the family that i do have here and the whole hang loose lifestyle of hawaii are some of the greatest blessings anyone can ask for.

every time i come back from the mainland, i talk shit about wanting to move there. then i get back into the everyday cycle that has become my life in hawaii. now i've been back in the islands for a couple hours now and i already feel like a caged animal. maybe a move to the mainland would be enough to motivate me to go back to school.

i've always enjoyed the thought of being able to go somewhere without worrying about driving into the pacific ocean. i know with the current state of our nations economy, opportunities might not be as plentiful. but i'm sure that if i'm meant to spend sometime on the mainland, the opportunity will present itself.
